Like every form of astrology, evolutionary astrology looks to the birth chart as a sort of treasure map, unique to each individual. It translates the squiggles and symbols, glyphs and patterns into a language that we can understand. It describes to us the personality that we have and the areas of our life that beg our attention.
But, evolutionary astrology also tells us the Why behind our birth chart, And that why is answered through the lens of a past life, whose karma has ripened. The nodes of the moon are where evolutionary astrologers begin to parse out a past life archetypal story that gives us clues as to why we are the way we are, and our soul's ultimate intention for this lifetime in light of the personality and experiences we had in a past one.
I read a birth chart using the tools and techniques I learned from master evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest, which integrate ancient metaphysics, modern psychology, and astrology. We assume reincarnation, although it's possible to interpret past lives in other ways, such as genetic patterns.
No human being is fated to his or her chart rather, we acknowledge that freedom of choice free will, and individual responsibility are ever present. We are not fortunetellers but translators of the birthchart which serves as a blueprint for the life you came here to live. We understand that every human is evolving, thus nothing is set in stone. The "personality profile" evolves, as do the issues and themes of a lifetime.
In evolutionary astrology, the current life personality acts as a tool the soul uses in order to resolve past life wounds, dilemmas, and karmic patterns. These prior life patterns often distort the present life birth chart, in the same way childhood wounds often distort one's adult relationships. Past life material is visible in the birth chart, and we are here to meet these challenges, in order to achieve the epitome of existence, to come to the end of our days knowing we have lived a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Your Letter from the Cosmos is an elegant means of helping you do this.
To your journey,
Aimee
